 Artifact

The model represents my time spent at Wymering Manor,

where I explored the link between sound and the

collaboration of diverse materials. I attempted to reproduce

the acoustic environment by hanging various objects and

observing how they interact with one another. This project

tries to replicate the sound experience at Wymering Manor,

where each material's acoustic contribution

demonstrates the delicate interaction of parts. I added a

wooden piece of furniture seen at Wymering in the

model, attempting to properly portray the spirit of the

auditory tapestry experienced during my time at Wymering

Manor.

The table was originally kept in the storage room of my house, indicating that it was not in active use but stored away. I decided to bring the table to my workshop, implying a deliberate move to a space where I could engage in creative or constructive activities.

Disassembly Process

Once in the workshop, I disassembled the table. This involves taking it apart, separating its components, and breaking down its structure.

Following the disassembly, I reconstructed the table. This step suggests a purposeful effort to put the table back together, potentially in a modified or reimagined form.

A sensory symphony emerges at Wymering Manor, encouraging guests

to embark on an exploration of sound, touch, and experience. Each

circulation echoes through centuries-old corridors, echoing with historical

whispers. A unique symphony is created by the physical exploration of utilized

walls and the airy tones of unseen tunes. Wymering Manor brings to life an

immersive experience in which the past and present

collide through the senses.

Feedback:

It had been a productive, creative, and hardworking day. I displayed my artefact and discussed how I wanted to approach Wymering Manor with it. The input provided was a significant achievement since it was a clear debate regarding the method, idea, and usage.

The tutors provided me with additional research resources to aid in the creation of my design.
