This is the first course of the week, and we have provided a quick overview of our course.

We started by making a collage of a box of cereal that we brought from home. I observed my colleagues finish their drawings using various materials such as marker pen, charcoal, and pencil. I sketched something with a pencil, and then my classmate and I placed our stuff in the center of the table. Our instructor asked us to draw the goods we brought to class and put them in the middle of the table. Then we start drawing the object in various compositions. I started drawing after measuring the object's placement with a pencil.

I started off sketching the nitty-gritty details of a hairbrush, really taking my time to capture its essence on paper. Then, I shifted gears to a dainty bottle, getting all artsy with precision and creativity. Excited to show off my handiwork, I shared it with a buddy, and we got into this cool back-and-forth of comments and ideas.

As we let the creative juices flow, the sketch took on a life of its own. Imagine this: I threw in a curveball and added a whole college vibe seamlessly into the original sketch. It wasn't planned, just one of those spontaneous moments. This extra touch not only made the whole thing pop but also lit a creative spark.

The collaborative vibe kept going strong as my friend and I kept tweaking the sketch, adding more elements, and fine-tuning every little detail. Our combined efforts ended up in this crazy awesome masterpiece. What started as a simple hairbrush and bottle turned into this lively college scene.

This spur-of-the-moment creative session just goes to show how powerful collaboration can be. When artistic minds come together, there are endless possibilities, and we managed to turn a regular sketch into something visually captivating.

Really great image of the collaborative drawing practice. And nice observations about your own practice. How might you now work collaboratively on the contextual research for Wymering? How does this exercise speak to the work you are currently doing?
